The Multicultural Resource Center (MRC) staff prides itself on being highly visible members of the Oberlin College community. It is not unusual to see us together eating at Afrikan Heritage House or cheering at an athletic competition or taking in one of the many outstanding theater, dance, and music performances. This year we would like to be more intentional about our presence on campus as well as invite others to join in the fun.
To that end, the fall of 2006 will the first semester of the official MRC Staff Campus Tour initiative. Here is our schedule. Please feel free to join in because everyone is invited!
Past events:
▪ MRC attended Taste of Africa dinner at Afrikan Heritage House, November 4th.
Upcoming events:
▪ MRC supports Women's and Men's varsity basketball - come watch both teams on December 2nd and have a chance to win raffle prizes including highly sought after MRC paraphanalia and authentic Athletics basketball t-shirts.
In the spring we are plannning the following events so stay tuned!
▪ MRC movie night at the Apollo Theater - the first 20 Oberlin students to RSVP get free tickets!
▪ MRC hangs out at Drag Ball
▪ MRC weenie roast at a women's rugby home game - free hotdogs for everyone as long as they last!
We have left room in the schedule for others to invite us to attend events so if you want to hang out with the MRC just give us a shout at mrc@oberlin.edu.
